NATIONAL DESIGN CENTRE LAUNCHES SPECIAL CLEANING DRIVE IN LINE WITH ‘CLEAN SRI LANKA’ INITIATIVE
Under the new management and restructuring process of the National Design Centre, a special cleaning campaign was conducted on the morning of January 28th as part of the government’s ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ initiative. This initiative prioritized cleaning the head office premises and D Mel Mawatha in Katubedda, Moratuwa, with the active participation of both management and staff. At the same time, the management and staff of the Kandy Nattaranpotha branch also took part in a similar effort, cleaning their office premises and surrounding areas through a community-driven cleaning campaign. This initiative aimed to create a fresh and organized work environment while also promoting better health practices and encouraging a cleaner society.
Prior to the new government’s administration, the public was encouraged to actively participate in the country’s development rather than leaving it solely in the hands of the leadership. In line with this vision, the National Design Centre has restructured its administrative processes and is now focusing on a more efficient and proactive daily operation. As a result, new public engagement initiatives are being introduced and implemented to promote social development and community participation.
Photographs captured staff members from the National Design Centre’s head office and the Kandy Nattaranpotha branch enthusiastically taking part in these meaningful cleaning efforts.
